This activity is designed for all members of primary care teams including physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, social workers, behavioral health providers, care coordinators, navigators, front office team members, medical assistants, community workers, and others.

The experience of caring for patients and families during COVID-19 is bringing forward new moral and ethical challenges for primary care teams: lack of protective equipment, requirements for distancing, patients not seeking care for prevention and chronic illnesses – and so much more. While there is a greater urgency for building moral resilience to address all of this, there also is an immediate need to recognize when colleagues may be dealing with moral distress or the fallout that comes with not being able to do what one knows to be right and good. Members of primary care teams are in the best position to affirm moral resilience in each other and take effective action as a team to recognize and reduce moral distress. In this webinar, we talk about moral resilience and ways to recognize and respond to moral distress as members of primary care teams.
