Webinar Description:
The treatment of opioid use disorder in rural communities can be complex due to transportation, connectivity, and other barriers. While telemedicine can help overcome some of these challenges, it also presents additional obstacles. This presentation will review the challenges associated with treating opioid use disorder in rural areas. It will explore the advantages and disadvantages of using telemedicine, the difficulties in obtaining urine toxicology screenings, and why this may not be a significant problem.
