Target Audience: This activity is designed for all healthcare providers will benefit from learning about options for nonopioid general anesthesia and analgesia.  

Webinar Description: This webinar will review the current state of the opioid crisis in the U.S., the factors that influenced it and ways that healthcare providers can help their patients make optimum choices regarding the use of nonopioid options for anesthesia and analgesia. 


Educational Objectives:

  • Review the current state of the opioid crisis in the United States.
  • Describe the role and implications of shared-decision making between patients and their healthcare providers with regard to options for nonopioid anesthesia and analgesia.
  • Summarize the benefits of a Voluntary Nonopioid Patient Directive.
