Integrating Screening, Brief Interventions, & Treatment for Stimulant Use Disorder during Buprenorphine Treatment for Opioid Use Disorder in Primary Care

The project involves a training series and clinical case discussions specific to the topic of stimulant use disorder screening and interventions in the primary care setting when buprenorphine is being prescribed for OUD.

 

Session 1: Introduction: Stimulant Use in OUD Treatment

This webinar will define what a stimulant is as well as explore stimulant pharmacology, stimulant use disorder neurobiology and epidemiology, as well as the impact of stimulant use disorder on physical and mental health and OUD treatment.

 

Session 2: Screening, Diagnosis, and Brief Intervention

This webinar will explore the usage of screening tools of varying lengths to evaluate stimulant use, urine drug testing advantages and limitations for patients on MOUD, comprehensive assessment guides, brief intervention strategies and referral conditions, and the role of harm reduction in all levels of care for stimulant use disorder.

 

Session 3: Behavioral Treatment Approaches
