Webinar Description: This webinar on "Recovery Supports for Youth and Young Adults with Opioid Use Disorder," presented by Dr. Peter Jackson, Medical Director of the University of Vermont Medical Center Addiction Treatment Center and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine. This session, brought to you by the Providers Clinical Support System - Medications for Opioid Use Disorders (PCSS-MOUD), will delve into family-based interventions, school-based recovery programs, and mutual help support. Gain valuable knowledge to enhance your practice and support young individuals on their recovery journey.




Educational Objectives:

  • Evaluate strategies for enhancing treatment and recovery planning for adolescents with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD).
  • Implement family-based interventions for adolescents struggling with Substance Use Disorder (SUD).
  • Analyze school-based recovery programs designed for adolescents with SUD.
  • Summarize research findings on the effectiveness of mutual help groups for adolescents with SUD.

4. Following your completion of the evaluation, you must select and claim CE or your preferred certificate type on the next page. Once claimed, a download button will appear in your transcript. If you do not see the download button or can not access your certificate, return to the course evaluation and claim your preferred credit/certificate.

5. 90 days following your completion of this activity, you will receive a survey (2 questions) to ask about changes in your practice.
