Webinar Description: This webinar will review evidence on medications and behavioral therapies for stimulant use disorder. It will engage a discussion of the potential for using medications and behavioral therapies that have efficacy in local treatment clinics – and the steps needed to be able to accomplish this.

Educational Objectives:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the definition and epidemiology of stimulant use disorder, globally and in endemic areas
    • Key cultural factors and comorbidities
  • Describe the neurobiology in development and maintenance of stimulant use disorder and how this relates to treatment outcomes
    • Withdrawal symptoms and their management
  • Review evidence for advancements in pharmacotherapies and behavioral therapies that can be brought into practice
    • A road map that offers hope for the near future
