TOR12 Whole-Native SUD Treatment Care Examples
Course Overview
In this webinar Charene Alexander and Julia Ortiz will share about their work on The Native Transformations Project (NTP). NTP is a National Institutes of Health, National Institutes of General Medical Sciences, and National Institute of Drug Abuse funded community-based participatory research project that explores the strengths and resilience of opioid misuse. This session will debrief the Native Transformations in the Pacific Northwest: Stories of Strength in a Public Health Crisis film. This documentary follows four individuals from three tribes in the Pacific Northwest as they share their experiences of strength and resilience to overcome the impacts of the opioid crisis.

Charene and Julia will share knowledge gained through both the community-based participatory research process, and the hope and healing of community-led intervention and prevention strategies. Please join the Opioid Response Network (ORN) for this webinar hosted for Tribal Opioid Response (TOR) grantees, Tribal organizations and communities. The series is supported by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). Past webinars are available at www.OpioidResponseNetwork.org/TOR.
