Applications of multimodal treatments for pain to various clinical settings are reviewed, as well as relevant case studies for the treatment of acute and sub-acute pain.
Educational Objectives:
- Define the components and benefits of multimodal treatment in the context of acute pain care
- Describe steps to implement multimodal treatment of acute pain in different clinical practice settings
- Compare the current state of evidence for various acute pain treatment modalities
- Analyze how best practices for acute pain treatment would be applied to a case example
