PCSS-MOUD Clinical Roundtable: The Importance of PAs in the Addiction Medicine Workforce
Activity Description
Join this PCSS-MOUD Clinical Roundtable which offers a chance to learn from and engage with our clinical experts!  Lead Mentor Debra Newman, PA-C, MSPAS, MPH will The hour is comprised of a slide presentation and an open question session.  Attendees will be given the opportunity to speak directly with the presenter to ask questions and discuss issues.

Target Audience: This activity was developed to meet the needs of physicians and interprofessional healthcare providers.  

At the conclusion of this activity participants should be able to:
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the SUD crisis in this country.
  • Understand the necessity of building the PA workforce around the treatment of SUD
  • Encourage PA colleagues in every clinical specialty to promptly identify, evaluate, and treat this chronic disease to save lives.

In support of improving patient care, American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. 



Credit for this activity is designated for learners in the following ways: 

Physicians

American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Other Health Professionals

Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance stating this program is designated for 1.0 hour AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. This credit is accepted by the AANP and AAPA.

 

IPCE Credit 

This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 1 (one) Interprofessional Continuing Education credits for learning and change.
