7361-EA De-escalation: Basic Tools, Parts 1 and 2
Course Overview
About: This two-part, three hour training will help participants to normalize heightened affect (feelings) as a part of human interactions in the health service environment, and to practice and adopt ways of being and methods of communication that preemptively & responsively decrease conflict and promote collaboration.

Learning Objectives: 
    1. List actions that can be taken to prepare to de-escalate.
    2. State the rationale for the ABC model.
    3. Define communication skills that support de-escalation.
    4. Identify and commit to two self-care actions.
