Welcome to the Opioid Response Network. You're joining a national coalition of organizations and leaders in public health working together to address the nation's opioid and stimulant use disorder crisis. Substance use disorders affect millions of lives and communities. We're here to help. The Opioid Response Network provides training and education that is evidence-based and designed to meet the needs of communities and organizations, big and small, all at no cost. Our audience includes states, cities, tribal communities, health professionals, the justice system, individuals, and anyone working in the substance use field. With education and training from consultants like you, ORN is making an impact. We're thrilled to have you on the team. Throughout this program, we'll introduce you to some of our tools you can use to implement effective, evidence-based practices. We'll explain our technical assistance framework, the workflow and logistics of engaging with our technical assistance system. And finally, we'll demonstrate the impact of health disparities on substance use disorders and highlight how ORN integrates health equity into all that we do. As an ORN consultant, you'll provide training and education on evidence-based practices that will help support the unique needs of communities experiencing the impacts of opioid and stimulant use disorders. ORN consultants train physicians, provide consultation for health systems implementing the use of medications for opioid use disorders, advise on evidence-based practices to inform policies and procedures for organizations, provide consultation and training to support community collaboration and recovery groups, and much more. However you're contributing, this course will equip you with what you need to aid in providing technical assistance for ORN. Each unit in this program has a short presentation for you to watch, downloadable PDFs with information to support you, and a short quiz. Once you've completed the quiz on each unit, you can start the next one. Once all units have been completed successfully, you can download your Certificate of Completion and receive your contract to become an ORN consultant. Before moving on to the next unit, please take the following quiz to see how well you understand the material we just covered.
